Day one of tour with CTC tour group is slow and steady. We visited this Jinli Old Street which isn't actually that old. This old street in the heart of Chengdu has been renovated and selling pretty much touristy stuff. Though they have retained their architecture, the soul of the buildings are gone. Its like the same phenomenon in Singapore's Clarke Quay shophouses and warehouses which has been converted into pubs. It doesn't feel the same way anymore. Nevertheless, its still an eye opener.
